Gil Yosef, a 29-year-old defense entrepreneur and startup founder, grew up in Moshav Givat Ye'arim in the Jerusalem Hills. Gil's story began during his military service in the Egoz Unit, when a teammate was injured and broke his leg during an operational activity. The team did not have a suitable limb immobilization device on hand, forcing them to improvise a solution using a tree branch and a personal bandage to evacuate him to the hospital.
This incident stayed with Gil, driving him to search for an efficient, rapid emergency solution for treating wounded individuals in the field. Following the completion of his active military duty service, the desire to improve soldier safety led him into research and development. Gil studied in the Industrial Design Department at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design to deepen his knowledge of design and engineering.
For his final project, he focused on developing innovative field-care solutions. Inspired by the incident during his military service, he developed the Quick Sleeve—a limb immobilization splint that inflates in 10 seconds using a capsule and a chemical reaction, allowing for fast and effective fracture stabilization. He later expanded this technology to develop the Quick Stretcher—a micro-stretcher.
Gil founded ARGAMON and serves as the company's CTO. The startup aims to revolutionize field emergency medicine through innovative, patented developments that provide soldiers and first responders with optimal tools to treat casualties quickly in any terrain.
Project executed as part of Bachelor's degree studies in the Department of Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, under the guidance of Dov Ganchrow.
